    About

I lead in the moments that matter.

When a company needs a clear direction and the conviction to move toward it; when markets shift and decisions have to be made with incomplete information; when a legacy needs transformation or a startup needs to scale, these are the conditions I've been built for.

My approach is consistent regardless of context: arrive quickly, understand the market and the people with discipline, define a direction clear enough for everyone from the board to the frontline to act on today, build the value-creation infrastructure to get there, make the hard calls when conditions change, and develop the teams that will carry the execution.

I use AI as an operating system, not a productivity layer. Productivity layers make individuals faster. Operating systems make organizations smarter. At GoCreator, that infrastructure was central to achieving 3× growth.

    The Approach

    Four pillars. One operating philosophy.

AI runs through all four as an operating principle, not a separate capability. The full CEO competency stack, mapped to how I work.

    01Pillar

    Vision That Moves Teams

Strategy · Communication · Simplifying Complexity

The most underrated CEO skill isn't strategy, it's translation. I compress compelling goals into operating principles every person can act on today, aligning stakeholders with competing interests around a shared picture of winning.

    The Proof

The Learjet 85 secret signing room moved more than 50 buyers to sign for a $17M aircraft before it was publicly shown, double the program objective, without a single traditional media placement. Unified a 200+ person global team at GoCreator around a transformation that tripled revenue.

    02Pillar

    Value Creation, Not Just Revenue

Enterprise Value · Execution · Capital Allocation

Revenue is a lagging indicator. I build the complete architecture for value creation: capital discipline, accountability systems, and a sequence of initiatives where short-term results fund the long-term build.

    The Proof

Tripled annual revenue at GoCreator with full P&L ownership of a recurring revenue platform, run against MRR, NRR, CAC and LTV rather than top line alone. $25M annual marketing budget at Bombardier supporting a division generating more than $5B in revenue.

    03Pillar

Read It Fast, Own The Call

Pattern Recognition · Accountability · Composure

Every candidate for a CEO seat says they have a disciplined decision process. My advantage isn't deliberation. It's speed of pattern recognition, and then owning what I decided, in public, with my name on it. I read a situation fast, usually before the data is complete, because I've seen versions of it in five industries that look nothing alike. I course correct early, before the cost of correction becomes the cost of failure. And I build leadership teams that carry the analysis I'm not naturally strongest at, because knowing which half of the job to hire against is most of what separates a second time CEO from a first.

    The Proof

Led post merger integration across three organizational cultures under significant stakeholder pressure, reversing a performance decline. Built PPLConnect through nine years of funding cycles, a B2C to B2B pivot and an acquisition process, where decision quality with incomplete information determined survival.

    04Pillar

    People Who Choose To Follow

    Talent · Leadership Teams · Trust-Building

Leadership authority is temporary. Leadership trust is durable. I create the conditions where top performers do the best work of their careers, and make the hard people calls when someone isn't growing into what the organization needs.

    The Proof

Built and led 200+ person global teams from fragmented to high-performing. Unified three organizational cultures through post-merger integration. Built PPLConnect's core team across nine years.

    Career Chapters

    Seven chapters. One approach.

The fundamentals of what makes companies grow and win don't change, what changes is the context I apply them in.

    Recurring Revenue · AI
    Chief Executive Officer

    GoCreator Group

Took full P&L ownership of a global B2B2C recurring revenue platform with a 20 year legacy and a losing position against faster, more technically sophisticated competitors. I tripled annual revenue and took the platform past $100M.

The business ran on recurring revenue and we lived and died by MRR, NRR, CAC and LTV. Growth came from paid traffic acquisition programs I owned at the P&L level, which is a discipline of channel level cost per acquisition, payback period and cohort retention rather than of brand spend. A channel that delivered volume at an attractive headline cost and produced subscribers who churned in two months was a channel we shut down.

The largest share of my own time went to the payment processing side of the platform. My team managed approval rates, decline management, banking MID optimization, refunds and chargeback exposure, processor mix, international currency settlement, and international tax charges and settlement. In a subscription business at scale those are revenue levers, not administration. A few points of approval rate across a book that size is a material number, and it is invisible to anyone treating payments as plumbing.

Alongside that I restructured the organization around clear P&L accountability, redesigned the B2B2C experience, and built AI and ML infrastructure into the core of how the company operated rather than bolting it on. The mandate is complete.

Built an Android first mobile continuity platform from zero, letting people move between devices and operating systems without losing conversation history or workflow. We launched at SXSW in March 2014, roughly six months before Apple shipped Continuity with iOS 8 in September 2014, and unlike Apple we carried continuity across WhatsApp, Skype, Viber and Facebook Messenger, which Apple still doesn't support. I led product, go to market, funding, team and brand across nine years, including the pivot from B2C to B2B when the consumer economics stopped working. In 2014 we went through an acquisition process with Lenovo. It didn't close, and I learned more from that process than from anything that went smoothly.

    Director, Brand & Product Marketing

    Bombardier Business Aircraft

Directed global brand and product marketing for the Learjet, Challenger and Global families, 11 aircraft brands, with a $25M annual budget supporting a division generating more than $5B in revenue, and a team of 10 direct and 30 to 40 indirect reports. Across seven years I built one method and was funded to run it three times, each at a larger scale than the last.

    1. 012008 · Prove the method

I designed the Learjet 85 secret signing room: an immersive environment where prospects encountered an aircraft that had not been publicly shown. More than 50 buyers signed for a $17M aircraft before the public unveiling, double the program objective, with zero traditional media placement. It built to the mock up unveiling at NBAA Orlando in October 2008, the climax of an 18 month brand program we called the Year of Learjet.

    2. 022010 · Scale it worldwide

It worked well enough that I was given a larger budget and a wider remit to do it again for the Global 7000 and 8000. The private signing room was the more ambitious build and this time it travelled the world: a full scale interactive floorplan laid into the floor so a buyer could walk the actual footprint of the aircraft and manipulate it in real time, with real time rendered side profiles of the finished interior projected onto the wall beside them. Buyers weren't reading a brochure about an aircraft that didn't exist. They were standing inside it.

    3. 03October 2010 · Launch an aircraft that didn't exist

The private room was so effective that the public launch couldn't afford to be ordinary. We were launching a paper airplane: two aircraft that existed only as drawings, to an audience that buys hardware it can walk around. So at NBAA in Atlanta we built a 100 foot wide external LED screen at the static display and rolled a full size rendering of the aircraft out onto the tarmac, in real time, in front of customers, parked alongside its real sister aircraft for the duration of the show. Add holograms, a custom iPhone application driving the presentation, and a private Cirque du Soleil event. The aircraft didn't exist and it was the most physically present thing on that ramp.

    4. 04March 2011 · What followed

Five months after the Atlanta launch, NetJets placed its first ever order with Bombardier: up to 120 Global aircraft, approximately $2.8 billion firm and in excess of $6.7 billion with options, the largest order in business aviation history at the time. Twenty of the fifty firm aircraft were Global 7000s and 8000s, the two aircraft that a few months earlier had existed only on paper.

In the early days of new media, organizations knew they had to move and didn't know how. I built a consultancy to lead that transition: strategy first, then the build. Complete new media portfolios including CD ROM, custom software, web portals and podcasting, for clients including the Canadian Space Agency, BMG Multimedia and LXB Communications. It's the chapter where I learned to sell my own judgement rather than execute somebody else's, which is a different skill and a necessary one.

    CFBU 103.7 FM

Before I ever ran a P&L, I helped build an organization from a licence application. The Niagara region sits between Toronto and Buffalo, one of the busiest radio spectrums on the continent and one of the hardest places to be granted a frequency. I worked with a team of four to lobby the university and the community, raise the capital, and build the federal application that won 103.7 FM. Then the same group secured a building, bought and built the broadcast tower, and put the station on the air. As Executive Program Director I ran daily programming operations with a staff that was almost entirely volunteer. As one of the few paid employees, I had no authority anyone was obliged to respect. I had to make people want to show up. CFBU still broadcasts today.

    WeHost Refugees Foundation

    Co-Founder & CTO · Volunteer · 2015 to 2016

In December 2015, as Canada opened its doors to Syrian refugees faster than the resettlement system could house them, I co founded WeHost with a small team of Montreal volunteers and led the technology build. We shipped a two sided matching platform, the Airbnb model applied to refugee housing for stays of one day to two months, in weeks, while I was running PPLConnect full time. Within weeks of launch we had roughly 1,000 Canadian households signed up as hosts, enough capacity for close to 3,000 refugees, backed by pro bono partnerships with Fasken Martineau on legal and Cloud Ops on infrastructure. The national coverage that followed was a byproduct of solving a real problem fast, not the goal.

    Competitive youth soccer

    Head Coach · 1997 to 2018

Twenty one years as a head coach in competitive youth soccer. Greenfield Park from 1997 to 2014, U11 through Senior, then two Westmount Intercity teams run concurrently through 2018. Certified through Quebec Soccer levels S1, S2, S3 and S7. Coaching is the purest version of the leadership problem: no authority anyone is obliged to respect, a group that didn't choose you, parents with opinions, and results that only arrive if the players decide to give you their effort. It's the same problem I had at CFBU with a volunteer staff at 21, and the same one I had leading a post merger integration across three cultures that had no reason to trust a new director.
